For attorneys, mediators and financial neutrals

Refer a client for a housing evaluation

When the house is part of a settlement, the mortgage question is usually answered last and assumed rather than tested. We will put a Certified Divorce Lending Professional licensed in your client’s state on it, before the language is finalized.

Your client remains your client. A CDLP® works on the housing and mortgage question and reports back to you. We do not take over the matter, we do not give legal advice, and we do not market other services to the people you send us.

What happens after you submit this

  1. We match the state, not just the map. Your client is matched with a CDLP® licensed to originate where the mortgage would be written.
  2. They speak with your client directly. Usually within one business day. The first conversation is at no cost and commits no one to anything.
  3. You get the analysis back. In time to shape the settlement language rather than react to it.

What comes back to you

The Divorce Mortgage Planning & Real Property Report™, a structured analysis used in mediation, drafting and litigation. It answers the questions a settlement usually assumes:

  • Whether the spouse keeping the home can actually qualify to refinance, and on what income
  • What the buyout costs in practice, including timing and rate exposure
  • How the proposed debt allocation changes qualification for both parties
  • Which deadlines in the draft are achievable and which will fail in execution
